UK Skilled Worker Visa
Overview
The UK Skilled Worker Visa allows individuals to come to or stay in the UK to work in an eligible job with a licensed employer. This visa has replaced the Tier 2 (General) work visa and is part of the UK’s points-based immigration system. The Skilled Worker Visa is designed for professionals with the necessary skills to fill job roles in the UK, making it a key route for talented individuals looking to further their careers in the UK.
Key Features
Points-Based System: Applicants need to score at least 70 points based on criteria such as job offer, skill level, English language proficiency, and salary.
Job Offer: A valid job offer from a UK employer who is a licensed sponsor is required.
No Cap: There is no limit on the number of skilled worker visas issued each year.
Pathway to Settlement: After 5 years on a Skilled Worker Visa, individuals can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK.
